Summer Dynamic Duo: Progress Report 2 & 3

For the finished version of my "heart" theme of freedom I decided ultimately to take a different approach. While still using the stippled piece previously I collaged it on a canvas where I used a method of 3d acrylic painting to create a finalized piece. Showcasing both the difficulty and beauty of freedom, with flowers and blood, specifically in the colors of my country.

For my "head" theme project I also continued my previous theme of faith, as it deeply resonates with me. I decided to take inspiration from my play pages and use graphite to draw half the face of a realistic elephant. The elephant in itself is a faithful creature (as well as my favorite animal) that also represents strength. In the corner of the drawing I drew arabic calligraphy of my name in arabic because Eman means faith. Overall the process was fun but lengthy, as all the wrinkles in the skin were pre-planned and then shaded. Below are the process pictures of my "head" theme project.
