Progress Post Project #8 (Part 1)

Below are photos of my progress with project # 8. I began my process of creating the piece, as usual, by sketching out the composition onto the paper to set up the base of my drawing to work from. After checking the proportions of the hand with the beads, I started to shade the top right portion of the hand. I did this first because the hand has largely the darkest and lightest parts of the drawing, therefore beginning here will help me to make sure each element of the drawing has the correct value in comparison to one another. I hope to continue to finish the hand and start to work on the beads, which is my favorite part of the composition.
