Oil Painting Process Post #1

The photo below shows my current progress with my oil painting quarter 3 project. So far I have created a good composition for the objects and drawn out a rough sketch of the composition onto my canvas in charcoal. I have also begun the under-laying process by applying light "washes" of the paint in shades of black and white to block out the areas with the correct shading. This step will help me build up the process of gradually adding paint to the canvas to, in the end, reach a final finished composition oil painting.
